GEORGIA PEACH BREAD
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups pureed Georgia Peaches from Pearson Farm
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup finely chopped Georgia pecans from Pearson Farm
Directions
Cream sugar and shortening together. Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Add peach puree and dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Add vanilla and chopped pecans and stir until blended. Pour into two loaf pans approximately 5 x 9 inches in size that have been well greased and floured. Bake at 325 degrees for 55 minutes to 1 hour. Let bread cool a few minutes before removing from pan. Makes 2 loaves.

These are the best peaches I have ever ordered. And the recipes are delicious. Made the peach bread and it was a HIT!!
Hey Sophia! The number of peaches will vary throughout the season. If you are using early peaches, they tend to be smaller, while the later varieties are much bigger. We suggest pureeing a small number then adding a peach at a time until you reach the desired 2 1/4 cups.
As always delicious peaches and pecans. Just made peach bread, substituted coconut oil for shortening and maple syrup for half of sugar. Delicious!
About how many pureed peaches equal 2 1/4 cups.
