St. Patrick is the beloved patron saint of Ireland. St. Patrick's Day is a celebration of the life of St. Patrick who died on March 17 in 460 A.D. But the first St Patrick's Day parade was not held until homesick Irish soldiers wanted to connect with their roots in New York City on March 17, 1762. Irish families have celebrated the feast of St Patrick as a holiday for thousands of years taking a break from Lent when prohibitions were lifted for one day of dancing, drinking and feasting on meat. So, with this kind of festive attitude, it only makes sense to include pecans as a tasty snack to your St. Patrick's Day festivities. We know that your friends would be green with envy if you were to receive a Pearson Favorite, our delicious chocolate drenched pecan halves, especially knowing that March is the last month that you can get these until October. At
Pearson Farm we also know that around any holiday it is better to give than to receive. That is why we have such a wonderful selection of delicious pecan treats.
Check them out here while there is still time to get them to someone special, even if that someone special is you.
May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.
