Spring Break, Pearson Farm-Style

Seasonally spring break can be anywhere from late March to mid-April, depending on where you live. When it comes to spring break here at Pearson Farm, we like this to take on a slightly different meaning. Specifically we think this is a good time of the year break into some in-shell pecans. As we have said before, there's something special about enjoying a nut that is still in nature's packaging. We think there is something even more special when you share that experience with people close to you.  As a child I have fond memories of my father and grandfather cracking and eating pecans. Those memories have stayed with me even as my children have grown, and I have had the opportunity to create shelling stories of our own. We cracked the pecan shells with everything from nut crackers to pliers to hammers and even squeezing 2 pecans together. The goal was to get to the tasty pecan meat inside. What we got was lifelong memories that I hold dear to this day. So as you think about your spring break, think about breaking into in-shell pecans from Pearson Farm. If you do it right, you will get a whole lot more than delicious pecan pieces. You will get some family memories that will last you a lifetime.
