Mom's The Word
There has been a lot change in this country since Pearson Farm planted its first trees in 1885. And at the same time there are values and principles that have remained true to this day. Looking ahead for a moment, Mother's Day is coming up on Sunday May 14. As an interesting bit of trivia, Mother's Day is younger than Pearson Farm. Mother's Day was established by Anna Jarvis and was celebrated at St. Andrew's Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia, on May 10, 1908. The holiday started with one woman (Jarvis) who held a memorial ceremony to honor her mother and all mothers at her Church. In 1914, Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation designating Mother's Day, held on the second Sunday in May, as a national holiday to honor mothers. This is a great example of how one person's passion can impact a nation of people. Pearson Farm has always honored family as demonstrated by its legacy in Georgia for 5 generations now. So, as Mother's Day approaches, we urge you to honor all mothers; past present and future, in the same spirit that Anna Jarvis honored hers. If you are looking for some gift ideas, we can help with that as well. Check out the selections here: https://pearsonfarm.com/collections/gifts
