Pizza with Pecan Pesto
This pesto pecan pizza is the perfect lunchtime meal and even better late-night snack. The fresh, succulent pecans give the pesto a more robust, earthy taste and let off a mouthwatering aroma that enlivens the senses. Don't be fooled by pizza's simplistic appeal, this recipe contains a smorgasbord of ingredients and tantalizing flavors.
- 1 package (2) prepared 7-inch pizza bread rounds
- 1 (7-oz.) container prepared pesto sauce
- 2/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup halved seedless red grapes
- 1/4 cup Georgia pecan pieces
The first thing you should do is preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Afterwards, you must prepare the pizzas to be placed in the oven.
To assemble pizzas: top each slab of pizza bread with 2 tablespoons of pesto sauce (drain oil from pesto if needed). Then, you will divide the cheese evenly on each pizza and follow that by doing the same things with the grapes.
Next, take each pizza and place 1/8 cup pecans on each. Put the pizzas in the oven and bake directly on the rack for about 8-10 minutes. Afterwards, pull the pizza out, let it cool and then enjoy!
